Park is all gravel and in need of an overhaul. Many cable posts were broken and wires were across the road. Sewer pipes were broken. Our Bishon got a flea infestation. Owner was friendly.

If you like canoeing, tubing, kayaking, and fishing, this is your spot. You are right on the oldest river in the USA. For a fee they will supply you with equipment and take you to drop off spots depending on how long you want to paddle. The surrounding area is in the mountains and absolutely beautiful. Staff is friendly but the campground seems to have been under construction or repair for a long time. Roads in the park are rugged but the sites are level and spacious. Call for directions.

Nice park for shorter stays. There was a mix up in the reservation. I drive a 40 ft, 50 amp rig. The reservation I made was for 5 nights. When I got there, the lady said my reservation was for a 36 ft, 30 amp rig and that I could only stay for 2 nights. A permanent resident told me that that is not a rare situation. Good roads, roomy sights, but leveling is a problem. It looks like the gravel is new and is humped in the middle.

We were here in the rain for 2 nights. Some puddling but drained pretty well. This is not a resort, it is just camping and club gatherings. Roads were rugged but sights were level with gravel. All sites are in the trees and spacious.

Good Park! Very friendly staff, good location to Williamsburg and other historic areas. Pool is older but well kept. Available space and equipment for families with children. The only drawbacks are that not all sites are capable of receiving satellite TV, the internet service is somewhat unreliable and the clubhouse is not open. We would stay here again.

Nice family park. Sites in F were good. Roads were excellent. Spacious. I rated it as an 8 because cable and WiFi cost. For the price I would expect those conveniences. Good for a long stay with children.
